1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Thoth AI ("Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Software.
2. Service Description
Thoth AI is desktop software that offers assistance tools for technical interview preparation, including real-time transcription, AI chat, screenshot analysis, and study session management.
3. Account and API Key
To use AI features, you must provide your own OpenAI API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your key and for all costs associated with its use. Thoth AI does not store your API key on external servers.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: (a) violate applicable laws; (b) attempt unauthorized access to systems; (c) use the Software for fraudulent activities; (d) redistribute or resell the Software.
5. Privacy and Data
Thoth AI operates on a "local-first" principle. Your transcription data, sessions, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on our servers, except when you explicitly use features that require communication with external APIs (like OpenAI).
6. Intellectual Property
The Software and all related content are owned by Thoth AI and are protected by copyright laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software in accordance with these Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Software. AI-generated responses are provided for assistance and should not be considered professional advice.
8. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified through the Software. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Software at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Software at any time.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of the district of São Paulo, SP.
